Community Service Projects

 

Members of the West Houston Quilter's Guild are very generous in sharing their time and talents with numerous organizations in our community through a variety of projects. 

 

In 2023 we donated to the following:

 

Project Linus

  • Quilts  -  146

  • Preemie Quilts  -  170

  • Christmas Preemies  - 81

  • Knitted & Crocheted Caps  - 250

  • Burp Pads  -  74

  • Crocheted Slippers  -  3

  • Single pillowcases  -  18

Visiting Guilds

We welcome area quilt guilds to visit our meetings with their opportunity quilts. 

 

The Steve Radack Community Center, the county facility where we hold our meetings, is under new management and is enforcing rule #3  which states:  "The selling of goods and services in the Center is prohibited on the center’s grounds”. 

 

With EXTREME DISCRETION, online payment apps like PayPal, Zelle and Venmo which are accessed from your phone or through the internet, are allowed.

Visiting guil​ds are welcome to sign up to b​ring their opportunity quilts.

Shop to support our guild:

Kroger Community Rewards Program:

Simply visit www.kroger.com or open your Kroger app. Once logged in go to 'My Account' and click on 'Community Rewards'.

There you can search for WEST HOUSTON QUILTERS GUILD either by name or LN405 and then click Enroll.

Or, in the phone app click the ≡ then, Rewards and Community Rewards. There, you will be prompted to search and click Enroll.

New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a Kroger rewards card.

Allows you to round up your online shopping. Just click on the link below to choose West Houston Quilter's Guild as your preferred charity and sign-in to start shopping. You can do this from a desktop computer or your phone.
